Frequently Asked Questions about Air Quality

1. What kind of pollution do we find indoor?

There are 3 kinds of indoor air pollutants:

  • Micro-organisms ( i.e. bacteria, virus, fungi)
  • Small particles (i.e. cigarette smoke, electronic devices emissions)
  • VOC: volatile organic compounds (i.e formaldehyde, benzene, trichloroethylene)

The sources of such polluants are diverse: outdoor environment (micro-organisms), cleaning products and furniture (formaldehyde), human activity (smoke, artificial scent, candles, etc).

The lack of air circulation is a key element degrading the indoor air quality, but it is not the only lever to use. For instance, a temperature between 16 and 22°C, and a humidity between 40 à 60%  will limit the development of micro-organisms.

2. What is an Air Purifier?

An Air Purifier is a device which will clean air to remove pollutants.

3. How do AirSerenity purifiers work?

The unique and patented technology of AirSerenity enables the purifier to fix pollutants on mineral material, and to eliminate these pollutants thanks to a cold plasma. Our product also include sensors able to instantly show the pollution level of air captured to help the users to control their indoor air quality.

4. Whose needs does AirSerenity address?

AirSerenity’s purifier technology  will provide great help to people subject to asthma, allergies, or hurt by breathing difficulties, but also to all people who are more prone to developing diseases: babies, children, elderly people. Globally speaking, our product can bring well-being to all people suffering from breathing issues, and can prevent the development of syndromes.

5. How to maintain AirSernity purifiers to their best efficiency?

The purifier uses one unique cartridge to capture pollutants efficiently between 6 and 12 months. You don’t need any specific maintenance, it is set-up to work autonomously. You can regularly check the pollution level indicated on the equipment to adapt the flow of air consequently.

6. Does an equipment require a lot of energy?

Not at all! AirSerenity optimized its technology to reduce power consumption to the minimal required, even when the equipment is kept plugged-in.
